Mostly for the legs, but you just can’t draw much sensible leg without attaching the rest of it.

There were these words floating in my mind, and I knew I’d seen them somewhere before on an awesome illustration. I remembered it was Yuko Ota, so I browsed through all her archives and found the illustration in question.
Incidentally, this caused me to tumblefollow her, which is a thing I recommend.
In any case, I thought these words rang very true, so I was inspired to create my own take on the two small phrases, and started with this sketch to get a feel for the layout.
I currently have no games to play so I’m filling up the time gap with more drawing. I’m not proud of it.

Playing Portal in a non-Euclidean space. Mind = blown.

This is pretty awesome. The person uses portals (without the fancy glowy effect to tell you that there’s a portal) to simulate non-Euclidean space. It makes for some pretty crazy levels.

What an awesome mindfuck.

Math Playing Game

Hey gamers, y’all aware that RPGs are nothing more than mathematical optimization problems with a really slick graphical interface, right? They’re not icons and 3D models with number attached, they’re numbers with a pretty icon attached.

Just thought I’d throw that out there.

– “This 274 dropped an amazing 35.5! So I’m going to convert my 28 into 5 universals and maybe I’ll save up to get that 37! The 130% skill should really make a difference when facing a group of 300+’s”
– “The 37 has such a great glowy picture.”
– “Bonus!”

Or at least that’s why I enjoy them — apart from the story and world wrapped around it, of course. I feel like I’ve half won already when I’ve got the most powerul gear that suits my playstyle. Never mind killing the final boss: in my mind I’ve already beaten the game.

So now I wonder if RPGs are NP-hard. I don’t like PVP, but I do like PVNP. Hahaha math joke.

So.

Yeah.

I’m going to have to get Diablo III at some point.

This is Kate, from Platinum Grit, a very very awesome webcomic. I don’t know why I drew her sad. Maybe it’s because PG is paused indefinitely.

This is how I felt when I read that PG was paused indefinitely.

This is how I never feel. Obviously that would be ridiculous.
